Cliff Burton's Last Show in 1986
September 26, 1986 at the Solnahallen in Sweden was supposed to be a celebratory show for Metallica. Sadly it ended up being the final concert with bassist Cliff Burton who died the next morning in a tour bus accident.
Metallica lost bassist Cliff Burton in the early morning of Sept. 27, 1986, when their tour bus crashed during a trip across Europe. The previous evening’s show, at the Solnahallen in Stockholm, Sweden, is now marked as his final performance.
